Fall 2004 Charity Leather Auction
During the Fall Bike Rally, Jamin' Leather Catalog held several Leather Charity Auctions to raise money for the American Red Cross. The auctions were held from September 29th through October 2nd, in front of Jamin Leather Catalog Outlet, located on Highway 501. Approximately $25,054 worth of leather goods was auctioned during the four day event; $20,997 was donated by Jamin' Leather. Proceeds from the auctions totaled $5,186.
The auctions were open to the public, with a variety a people attending, the majority being visiting bikers. The auction sold various leather items such as men's and ladies jackets, pants, boots, vests, handbags, & hats. There were also several unusual non-leather items auctioned, including two pairs of feather wings, a variety of porcelain statues, and a 6 foot tall Tiki God which sold for $200.
This was the seventh semi-annual Leather Charity Auction held by Jamin' Leather. Last Spring over $5000 was presented to the American Red Cross for distribution. Other charities that have benefited from the Leather Charity Auctions include Citizens Against Spousal Abuse (CASA), and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
We thank everyone that attended and bid on the many items, and hope you enjoy the pics as much as we did taking them. A sincere thanks from all of the staff at Jamin' Leather.
